Querfeld Asserts Austria’s Capability to Triumph Over All Challengers at Euro 2024 Following Victory Over the Netherlands

Austria’s Leopold Querfeld believes they can conquer any challenger at Euro 2024, having already cruised past the initial rounds in Germany.

Before taking on the tournament, Querfeld had draped his country’s flag twice on the field. His first appearance in this European Championship was during Austria’s victory over the Netherlands last Tuesday.

In the match, the defender contributed 26 minutes, propelling Ralf Rangnick’s troupe to head Group D, especially after France tied with Poland 1-1.

“Taking this feat lightly wouldn’t be right, yet, it was within our sights,” remarked Querfeld.

Post-match celebrations were heartfelt. “The squad, along with our nearest and dearest, gathered at the hotel for a warm, cheerful evening,” he shared.

This evening, the Austrians queue up to find out who they battle next at Leipzig next Tuesday.

They aim for the second-place team of Group F—where Turkiye, Czechia, and Georgia scramble for advancement this Matchday 3.

With their credentials so far, Querfeld stands firm in his belief that Austria is poised to enter the quarters for their inaugural time in history.

Querfeld declared, “Whoever comes up against us is in for a robust tussle.”
