Joselu Expresses Gratitude to Madrid in Heartfelt Farewell as Transfer is Finalized

Real Madrid has slated Joselu’s transfer to the Saudi Pro League amid Kylian Mbappe and Endrick’s foreseen enlistment.

Joselu extended his gratitude to Real Madrid, acknowledging the wealth of emotions he experienced at Santiago Bernabeu, following confirmation of his exit.

Real Madrid opted for a definite purchase of the Spanish forward, previously on loan for the 2023-24 season from Espanyol.

Barely a day post-announcement, expectations about a fresh stint for the 34-year-old were confirmed. He is set to part from the club where he played from 2009 to 2012, headed for Al-Gharafa.

Last season, even as a secondary choice, Joselu managed to tally 18 goals in 49 matches under Carlo Ancelotti, doubly scoring in a pivotal Champions League semi-final against Bayern Munich.

Yet, the impending arrival of talents such as Mbappe and Endrick meant potential sidelined days at Bernabeu for Joselu.

“Thank you is the word,” he articulated on the club’s official website, overwhelmed by emotions.

He expressed his deep gratitude towards Real Madrid for the experiences and lessons from his youth, exemplifying both grandeur and modesty.

Joselu cherished the dream that the esteemed club kept alive and helped him realize. He praised the club staff, his coach’s insights on the sport, and the familial bond with his teammates.

He lauded the fans for their fervent support which spurred the team onwards. “Though my presence will fade, my spirit remains entrenched with Real Madrid,” he expressed. “Thank you,” he reiterated, echoing his lasting connection with the club and its supporters.
