Girona concludes an outstanding season with a dominant victory over a 10-player Granada in their last LaLiga fixture on Friday.
Artem Dovbyk scored three goals as Girona celebrated a historic win of 7-0 against a relegated Granada.
Defender Eric Garcia and Viktor Tsygankov opened the scoring, followed by Dovbyk’s penalty goal before Tsygankov made it 4-0.
Granada’s troubles escalated with a red card, and Dovbyk and Cristhian Stuani added more goals.
Dovbyk’s hat-trick brought his total goals to 24 this season, making him the top scorer, outclassing Alexander Sorloth of Villarreal.
Dovbyk’s 24 goals this season broke Stuani’s record of 21 goals in 2017-18 for Girona.
Savinho also shined with an assist and his tenth assist of the season, the highest for Girona in this campaign.
