A new attack took place today in the Sahel region of Burkina Faso. A convoy of civilians has been targeted and tolls are high, around one hundred dead in total. According to security sources, 47 civilians and soldiers as well as 58 terrorists were killed.

The attack took place on the Dori-Aribinda shoulder, 25 kilometers from the town of Gorgadji, according to security sources. The defense and security forces and the volunteers for the home country’s defense were tasked with securing the civilians who joined Aribinda. After leaving Dori, the convoy was attacked directly by armed men.
During the fighting, about 30 civilians were killed. Fourteen SDFs and three volunteers were also killed. It is also reported that the SDF killed 58 terrorists. Relief efforts are still in place.
