A few days after her husband’s funeral on Sunday, December 8, in Kiniezire, eight men in uniform who claimed to belong to military justice arrived at her home on Tuesday, December 10, explains Brenda, the widow of General Delphin Kahimbi. According to her, they presented an official document that allocates them, her and her mother, under house arrest. Widow Brenda Kahimbi says she does not know the reasons for this decision.

Imprisoned for several months, the nephew and pastor of the widow Kahimbi and a lady accused of facilitating the employment of a missing servant remain in custody in Kinshasa.

The investigation is reportedly still ongoing to establish the facts of General Kahimby’s death. The President of the Republic, quoted in a report from the Council of Ministers, had indicated “signs of strangulation” observed about the remains. But the widow Brenda Kahimbi, she had always told reporters that the general had died of a heart attack. Military justice has still not heard from this lady who preferred to send her lawyer to respond to the call to the Commission of Inquiry.

Military justice has still not yielded the results of the autopsy and prefers to wait for the end of the investigation.
