Appeals from NGOs and the families of Floribert Chebeya and Fidèle Bazana seem to have been heard. The investigation is ready for the resumption of the trial, according to General Lucien René Likulia.

Before the end of this week, the FARDC’s Director General stated, the file will be transferred to the High Military Court for a date to be set. With this opening, several shadow areas should be cleared.

Without being forced to do so, the command recently acknowledged on RFI. In exile outside the country, they appointed the former police inspector, John Numbi, as principal. The former police chief is the main suspect in the double murder in Kinshasa in early June 2010.
