new controversy following a dismissal at Brazzaville CHU

The president of the Intersyndicale du Center hospitalier universitaire (CHU) de Brazzaville, who has long condemned the poor management of the Canadian management of this company, was fired as an agent. A decision poorly digested by his colleagues who demand his recovery and threaten to strike.

From our correspondent in Brazzaville,

According to the dismissal note signed by the new Director General of the CHU, Denis Bernard Raiche, Victor Bienvenu Kouama is accused in particular of making insulting remarks and making threats against the authorities. But this dismissal does not surpass Dr. Albert Ngatsé Oko, member of the Intersyndicale.

“A surplus of authority”

“It is very violent, it is an excessive authority, and I think it is even a dictatorship exercised by the Canadian GM. “Because a general manager who joins and not even a week later, starts by firing an president of the Intersyndicale, a protected worker without respecting any procedure, neither legal nor legal, it means that it is an abuse”, condemned Mr. Ngatsé Oko.

It requires the dismissed manager to be restored to his rights without delay. “We are extremely vigilant and are drawing more and more attention to the authorities so that this dismissal does not happen again,” he proclaimed.

On Thursday, a negotiation meeting between management and CHU workers failed. The latter threaten to go on an unlimited general strike from October 12 if the decision to dismiss their colleague is upheld.
