Thomas Tuchels wins manager of the month in the Premier League

Chelsea boss Thomas Tuchel has been named Premier League manager for the month of March, which is all the more impressive since he was first appointed by the Blues at the end of January.

Tuchel is also only the second German manager in Premier League history to win the prestigious monthly award after Jurgen Klopp.

Chelsea remain unbeaten under Tuchel in all competitions since his arrival, which included three Premier League games in March, from which the Blues took seven points from a possible nine to return to the top four. They were previously in midfield when he took over.

Tuchel’s side beat both Liverpool and Everton impressively in back-to-back matches before ending their schedule in March with a third game in a row in a 0-0 draw against Leeds.

“I’m very happy to have received this award and I think it’s a fantastic achievement for everyone at the club involved in putting the team together to play every week,” Tuchel told Chelsea’s official website when he accepted the award. .

“The award would not be possible if it were not for the hard work of my coaching staff and the broader support team who all drive the team in the same direction to achieve success.

“Finally, I want to acknowledge the hard work of the players who have given me their maximum effort and commitment since I arrived and we hope we can keep this strong run until the end of the season.”

Chelsea will start April with a home clash against West Brom on Saturday, hoping to close the gap against Manchester United and Leicester in second and third place respectively, as well as put more distance between themselves and West Ham in fifth place.
