Somali Authorities Present Alleged Livestock Thieves in Mogadishu

Mogadishu (AX) — On Monday, the police in the Banadir region unveiled a trio of men charged with livestock theft, following an operation in the Wadajir area of Mogadishu.

These fellows are thought to be part of a broader scheme that swipes animals, goats being their prime target, using fancy rides for their escapades.

“The diligent officers at Wadajir police station have nabbed three individuals facing allegations of livestock thievery, focusing on goats,” stated a communiqué from the Banadir Police Command.

This development trails the online spread of CCTV clips last week, which showed three blokes pilfering a goat and skedaddling in a car from one of Mogadishu’s neighborhoods. The video stirred the pot among citizens, spurring the authorities to act with urgency.
