President Guudlawe convenes with military leaders in Bal’ad to bolster efforts against al-Shabab
Jawhar (AX) – On Sunday, the President of Hirshabelle, Ali Abdullahi Hussein Guudlawe, led a delegation to Bal’ad district in Middle Shabelle, aiming to bolster the campaign against al-Shabab.
During his visit, President Guudlawe conferred with top military brass. Among those present were the Deputy Commander of the Somali Army Infantry, the Commander of the April 12 Division, the Commander of the 3rd Battalion, and the head of the Training School. The meetings were crucial for strategizing the liberation of territories still under al-Shabab’s grip.
The primary focus of their discussions revolved around plans to free regions in the Middle Shabelle from al-Shabab’s control and address the tribulations faced by the locals along the Bal’ad and Jowhar road. Additionally, they explored ways to improve the safety and well-being of travelers in the region.
President Guudlawe praised the Somali National Army, local allied forces, and the community for their relentless efforts. He highlighted their achievements in reclaiming numerous strategic areas in Middle Shabelle and Hiiraan over the past two years. “Your dedication and bravery have made these victories possible,” Guudlawe emphasized.
