Twitter reacts when Jose Mourinho is fired by Spurs
Can we just have a normal day? Please?
In the midst of all the chaos created by the Super League plans, Tottenham Hotspur have quietly managed to fire manager Jose Mourinho and hoped that no one noticed.

Well, Twitter definitely noticed.

Chairman Daniel Levy has finally said that is enough and made the decision to suspend the band with Mourinho 17 months to his reign at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium, in the midst of fears that the club’s season could get out of control.
Spurs are out of the Europa League and five points behind the top four in their quest to return to the Champions League, and with six games left in the season, Levy wants a new pair of eyes.
It’s a strange time to make such a big decision. After all, Spurs have the Carabao Cup final against Manchester City on Sunday, but it looks like it will be good old Ryan Mason who gets the honor of leading the team at Wembley.

Absolute madness that Steve Bruce can hold a job longer than Jose Mourinho and still look like a red cabbage.

Jose Mourinho was? on a cup bonus and Levy would tell him anyway. Dismissed him before the final and saves a couple of pounds. #JoseOut #levy

Do not think too hard about where Spurs suddenly have cash to fire Mourinho …

Unfortunately, we do not have the Amazon cameras today to show us what’s going on at Spurs.
In addition to the months and months of fan turmoil resulting from poor results and boring performances, there has been a lot for Spurs to deal with in recent weeks.
Harry Kane suffered an ankle injury, they were literally rusted, they have been tricked into thinking they deserve to be part of a Super League, and now this. Busy week.

In my dream scenario, Mourinho ran into Levy’s office and shouted, “respect man, respect”, ate a free meal in the team cafeteria and then jumped on this bike and pissed out of Spurs. pic.twitter.com/eO99Q6kukG

Is that the right move for Spurs? The answer comes with time.
With the cup final just around the corner, Levy feels as if Mourinho is not the man to give Spurs his first trophy since 2008, but his biggest concern will be in the Premier League, where their European hopes hang in the balance.
Spurs have to face Southampton, Sheffield United, Leeds United, Wolves, Aston Villa and Leicester City between now and the end of the season, and with a five-point gap already proving to be problematic, perhaps nothing less than perfection is not enough.
