Chelsea director Petr Cech has admitted that the membership is run every day for concern that the Blues could run out of cash to finish the season.
Sanctions in opposition to proprietor Roman Abramovich have seen sponsors put their investments on ice, whereas restrictions on ticket gross sales and match-day spending have seen some counsel Chelsea might fail to pay their gamers and will run out of cash earlier than the season ends.
Talks are underway with the British authorities to attempt to provide Chelsea a little bit extra flexibility and distance to Abramovich himself, however Cech has acknowledged that the state of affairs continues to be unclear.
“It has been devastating to see what is happening in Ukraine and our thoughts go to the victims of the situation. I hope people will stop suffering,” Cech informed Sky Sports.
“When you compare with what has happened here, it is a difficult situation. We have many questions, we do not have many answers but we are determined to concentrate on things we can control. We go day by day to try to end the season. “
Regarding the priority about paying workers and gamers, Cech emphasised: “We hope that the situation will become clearer soon. We hope that people who work for the club will be able to receive their salaries and live their lives and work.
“This is a troublesome query for me to reply as a result of I do not need the solutions. I have no idea what the teachings will appear like in days. Without a solution, it’s troublesome to plan.”
Finally, Cech also confirmed that he does not expect to lose manager Thomas Tuchel. The German has repeatedly promised his commitment to the club and that feeling was repeated by Cech.
“Thomas has a contract till 2024, because it seems to be, we’ve got been informed that the contract might be valued,” he said. “We hope we could have him as a coach as a result of he has been sensible in any respect ranges.
“But tomorrow the situation may change and my answer will be irrelevant.”
