Kei Kamara and Denis Bouanga led the charge, giving LAFC a decisive edge. Gabriel Pec narrowed the gap with a goal in the latter half, but it was insufficient to topple the leaders at the Rose Bowl.

In the initial half, LAFC outshone in attempts on goal, with Eduard Atuesta hitting the woodwork following a slick move past John McCarthy.

The breakthrough arrived in the 39th minute when Kamara headed in close to the six-yard line.

Soon after, Atuesta was fouled in the box. Following an extensive VAR check, Bouanga slotted home a penalty right before the break.

In the 56th minute, Pec was swift to deflect Miki Yamine’s cross past Hugo Lloris. Later, Joseph Paintsil squandered a prime chance to level the score, blasting his shot from short range well above the goal, leaving Galaxy trailing in third place.

Data Debrief: LAFC’s Scoring Spree Continues

LAFC has found the net in their last 17 MLS encounters. This streak is barely shy of their longest run — 18 consecutive games with a goal from September 2021 to May 2022.

This season, they have amassed 20 goals before halftime in 21 matches, outscored only by Real Salt Lake’s 22.
