Dortmund poised to end Madrid’s flawless streak in Champions League finals

Borussia Dortmund is aiming for their first Champions League title since 1997, going up against Real Madrid, who are serial champions.

Edin Terzic is confident that Dortmund can beat Real Madrid in the Champions League final at Wembley on Saturday. Madrid has won all eight finals they have played since 1992, claiming five Champions League titles in the past decade.

Terzic believes records are meant to be shattered but underscores the need for Dortmund to deliver an exceptional performance. He emphasized the importance of self-belief and dedication to bringing the trophy back to Dortmund.

Although Dortmund won the cup in 1997 and reached the final again in 2013, they were defeated by Bayern Munich. Terzic stresses the need to defeat the reigning champions to win the Champions League.

Dortmund finished fifth in the Bundesliga this season and secured their Champions League qualification. Terzic attributes their success to the bitter experience of narrowly missing out on the league title last year.

The Dortmund coach expressed gratitude for the continued support of the fans and looks forward to reciprocating by celebrating with them in London after the final.
