The vote took place peacefully. In the polling station where RFI was located, the count is complete. And not surprisingly, it was the ruling party, the RDPC, that won all the votes, except two that went to the FCP, the opposition party that had run in the center region.
FCP President Denis Atangana condemned the practices of the ruling party, which had voters transported by bus to go to the polls: “An impermissible practice in a vote that would be free and democratic”.
At the security level at the moment, in the English-speaking regions, a city council was shot dead after voting, according to the coordinator of the non-governmental organization Ceredaqui has placed observers across the country. No official has been identified at the moment, but the separatists threatened with reprisals those who would get involved in the vote.
Elsewhere, in these two regions in crisis, the vote seems to have taken place without incident, with a strong presence of security forces, according to initial feedback.
