What benefits do jihadist groups derive from their Islamic State franchise? In a recently released report, the International Crisis Group (ICG) looks at the case of Lake Chad, where armed groups have pledged allegiance to ISIS. This document is based in particular on the testimonies of sixteen regents from Boko Haram and the Islamic State in West Africa.
