Sudan: Within the Hashaba camp, a group of Ethiopian docs is running in emergencies

Nearly two months after the start of the offensive in Tigray, Sudan received nearly 55,000 refugees fleeing fighting in the neighboring area. Humanitarian organizations ring alarm bells when the situation is urgent. The UN World Food Program needs $ 24.6 million to meet the immediate needs of Ethiopian refugees in Sudan.

The latter always arrives. There are fewer of them, about a hundred a day, but the humanitarian situation in the camps is deteriorating. Overcrowding, lack of access to water and sanitation raise fears of the spread of diseases beyond Covid-19. Since the beginning of the conflict, a team of Ethiopian doctors, including refugees, has been working in the Hashaba camp to help the population.
