The bodies are scattered over three places near the mountains of al-Markhiyat. Investigators will now extract them from the graves and gather all possible evidence.

Buried in a way that goes against human dignity

The discovery of these bodies was announced on 11 November. The prosecutor then declared that “these people had been killed and buried in a way that is contrary to human dignity”.

According to witnesses, the remains were buried June 3, 2019, the actual day of the sit-in massacre. They can therefore fall victim to the massacre. In any case, families of missing persons have already been notified.

On June 3, 2019, the security forces of the transitional regime had brutally dismantled the sitting, the striking heart of the revolution that was installed on the streets of Khartoum, in front of the army headquarters. Officially, the attack left 85 dead. But other sources say at least 200 victims and dozens were missing.

The soldiers have never acknowledged their responsibility. They accuse sympathizers of the old regime that has infiltrated its ranks.
