Sentenced to death on February 27, the trio – Nur Abdi Mohamed, Shucaib Mohamed Farah, and Bile Abdullahi Hassan – were adjudged culpable for the crime.

The court in Galgadud laid down the verdict that the men had cold-bloodedly murdered Dr. Ahmed Hassan Osman and his younger brother, Quran instructor Liban Hassan Osman, in the Ilix vicinity of the Galgadud region.

These homicides were intertwined with a surge in tit-for-tat killings that have recently spiked across central Somalia.
