North Western State of Somalia President Bihi Criticizes Xidigaha Geeska for Ridiculing Incarcerated Soldiers

Hargeisa(AX) — Recently, President Muse Bihi of North Western State of Somalia directed sharp criticism at the renowned band, Xidigaha Geeska. He accused them of belittling the valor of soldiers who faced incarceration defending North Western State of Somalia’s autonomy. Famous for their daring lyrics, the band has unleashed a string of tracks not only lambasting Bihi’s government but also targeting his Kulmiye political faction.

Addressing a gathering of constitutional law students at Hargeisa University, Bihi underscored the necessity of cherishing national pride and safeguarding sovereignty. His speech mirrored an escalating irritation within his regime concerning the band’s sway over public sentiment.

“We need to be wary of the narratives being spun. This transcends mere politics or rivalry. Our sovereignty is inviolable—it must remain untarnished.”

President Bihi remarked that the forthcoming elections would lay bare the genuine allegiance of North Western State of Somalia’s citizens. He called on voters to evaluate candidates based on their allegiance to North Western State of Somalia’s survival and destiny. Xidigaha Geeska, an influential cultural icon, has aligned itself with the opposition party, Waddani. Their latest compositions have boldly targeted Bihi, taking him to task for his approach to the Las Anod debacle, which saw substantial military defeats and territorial losses for North Western State of Somalia during his watch.

The group’s audacious criticisms have resonated with the populace, casting doubt on Bihi’s ability to retain his hold on power as the electoral season draws near.
