It was reported on Sunday night that four soldiers were killed on Saturday and several others were injured in a double attack in the southeastern part of the country in a region bordering Nigeria. A fifth soldier is missing.

It was around 9:30 local time when the military positions of N’Gagam and PK5 in the Diffa Division were targeted. The Nigerian Ministry of Defense mentions in its press release “a double attack carried out by armed terrorist groups from a neighboring country”, which it does not quote.
