Small cross-border trade is gradually resuming between the city of Rubavu, in Rwanda, and that of Goma in the DRC.
The so-called “Petite Barrière” border post, one of the most crossed on the continent, had been closed for eight months because of the Covid-19 crisis.
But since November 5, traders gathered in cooperatives, students, teachers or even doctors are allowed to pass subject to having tested negative for Covid -19.
