Shay Mitchell shows how she got fit in four weeks

Shay Mitchell has had more than her fair share of work on her plate among the COVID pandemics. Between taking care of daughter Atlas, 1, and dealing with a lead role on Hulu-hit Doll face, it’s not surprising that Mitchell does not have a lot of free time. Therefore, when the star decided to get healthier and healthier in 2021, she did not want to spend hours in the gym doing so. Instead, Mitchell revealed to her Instagram followers how she managed to completely transform her body in just a few minutes a day.

Mitchell posted one tile photo of her remarkable transformation to Instagram and admitted that she had developed some less healthy habits in quarantine before she decided to get healthier.

“2020 was the year to look for something to make us feel good. Not even good … to feel good. Feel ‘normal,'” Mitchell explained. “For me, it came in the form of comfort food, comfort clothing and threw my exercise routine through the window. And that was okay … for a while. ”

However, Mitchell knew it was time for a change. “[I] made a pact with myself that 2021 would be different. “I wanted to focus on myself again, because I’m the best version of myself for Atlas – and everyone else – when I take care of myself first,” the actor wrote.

It was not just a training session that got Mitchell in such fantastic shape. In his Instagram highlights, Mitchell described the training plan as “a combination of strength exercises to tone our muscles and heart movements to burn calories.” She also incorporated post-workout recovery stretches to keep her body slimmer. While combining a healthy diet and exercise can be the key to most weight loss plans, Mitchell acknowledged that she is not doing well with restrictive diet plans.

“I do not believe in diets. Personally, they do not work for me. I think you have to eat in moderation. It is the only thing, at least for me, that works.”

But she revealed that she has incorporated healthier foods into her diet to drive her workouts, such as smoothies made with bananas, spinach, oat milk and protein powder.

While Mitchell may be looking to get healthier, both mentally and physically, the actress has previously said that she is not letting her diet be the only focus in her life.

“I will always be the girl who can train and not feel guilty about eating a slice of pizza or a scoop of ice cream – that’s all in moderation!” Mitchell told her Instagram followers after her 2016 SELF cover.
