Tottenham transfer news: 6 players for sale
Tottenham’s attempts to freshen up their squad this summer will rely on selling players before they can buy, and new head coach Nuno Espirito Santo has outlined a long list of available players.
With the arrival of Bologna defender Takehiro Tomiyasu approaching and Spurs also interested in Sevilla’s Jules Kounde, the club are desperate to generate transfer funds through player sales to avoid having to make money on talisman Harry Kane.

Athletic reports that no fewer than six first-team members are on sale this summer including Davinson Sanchez, Serge Aurier, Moussa Sissoko, Erik Lamela and Lucas Moura, with others still waiting to hear if they have a future at the club.
Tottenham’s defense is in great need of strengthening, and with this in mind, Nuno has told the club that both Sanchez and Aurier can leave.
Sanchez has struggled to adapt to life in the Premier League since his mega-money move from Ajax in 2017, while Aurier has improved too late but is still criticized for his tendency to give rash challenges.
Toby Alderweireld has already signaled that he intends to leave Spurs this summer and the club also hopes to be able to download the youth Cameron Carter-Vickers.
Sissoko is another available for sale – despite the Frenchman playing 42 gigs in all competitions last season – although Harry Winks is still waiting to discuss his future with Nuno.
In the forward division, the club are keen to bring down Lamela and Moura with both players failing to cement their place in Spurs start XI, but Steven Bergwijn is expected to stay in north London despite an overwhelming start to life in England.
Meanwhile, the future of club captain Hugo Lloris remains in the air. The Frenchman has only one year left on his deal at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium and the club intends to sit down and discuss his future when he returns to the pre-season.
