PSG transfer news: Achraf Hakimi signs impending
Paris Saint-Germain have completed an agreement to sign Achraf Hakimi from Inter and he is scheduled to become a doctor on Thursday.
Hakimi is one of the best right-backs in Europe. He enjoyed a fantastic 2019/20 campaign at Borussia Dortmund from Real Madrid that attracted Nerazzurri’s attention. Since moving to the San Siro, he has been an important part of Inter’s success.

He managed seven goals and ten assists in 37 league games last season, which helped his team regain the Serie A title after a long wait.
But he is now ready to move to PSG. Chelsea were also interested in Hakimi but the Ligue 1 side have long been in the driver’s seat, with Mohamed Bouhafsi from RMC Sport confirming that an agreement had been reached for the transfer recently.
PSG will pay 60 million euros (51.5 million pounds) for Hakimi, where the defender will agree on a five-year contract. Paris has always been his favorite destination and he will carry out his medicine on Thursday with a message that is expected soon after.
Inter would have preferred to hold on to Hakimi but their serious financial situation took the matter out of their hands. Scudetto’s winning manager Antonio Conte has already left the club due to concerns outside the field and further departures are expected.
Inter still need their senior players to agree to a payout and even then some of the title winners may need to be sold to raise money.

As for PSG, they hope that Hakimi’s arrival will help them jump back from a bad season. Last election period, they handed over the Ligue 1 title to a Lille side gathered on a small fraction of their budget. They also failed in Europe and crashed out to Manchester City in the Champions League semi-final.
Manager Mauricio Pochettino – who only took over in December – is under serious pressure to turn things around.
