Liverpool join the competition for Sparta Prague’s Adam Hlozek
Liverpool have joined the race to get the highly ranked Sparta Prague kid Adam Hlozek this summer.
The 18-year-old missed a significant part of the 2020/2021 season with a broken foot but still managed to create waves with his excellent performances. He finished the campaign with 15 goals and nine assists from 23 games, with Sparta losing just two league games when he was on the team.
His incredible form has aroused interest from a number of top clubs, and according to Football Insider, Liverpool are the latest side to like Hlozek. Reds is said to be in the market for a younger striker to develop over the next few years and they believe he fits the bill.
Although he is so highly regarded, Hlozek is only expected to cost between 15 and 20 million pounds this summer, which means that he represents excellent value for money.
However, Liverpool face a lot of competition for their signature. As 90min revealed earlier this year, West Ham are extremely interested. The Hammers can hold an edge in the negotiations when Hlozek shares an agent with the international teammate and close friend Tomas Soucek.
? #WHUFC has increased its interest in teenage Czech striker Adam Hlozek. Bayern and Juventus are also monitoring, as is Dortmund, but the first team’s opportunities would be limited.

The striker is also keen to move to a club where he will meet regularly. His desire for playing time is much more likely to come true at London Stadium than at some of the bigger clubs he has been linked to.
These include Bayern Munich and Juventus, while Borussia Dortmund see him as a potential successor to Erling Haaland, who is generally expected to leave the club in the near future.
Hlozek is currently with the Czech Republic’s squad at Euro 2020. He played in both sides’ opening two matches – a 2-0 win against Scotland and a 1-1 draw against Croatia – from the bench.
