Klopp playfully admits distaste for Maddison after being unable to thwart Kompany’s game-winning shot

Jurgen Klopp shared a funny anecdote about his feelings towards James Maddison during a crucial match. During the 2018-19 season, Liverpool and Manchester City were neck-and-neck in the title race. When Vincent Kompany scored a stunning long-range goal against Leicester City, Maddison failed to block it. This incident left Klopp feeling some type of way about Maddison. He joked that he wasn’t too pleased with the midfielder’s performance and even expressed frustration towards the Leicester City manager, Brendan Rodgers. Despite this, Klopp assured that there are no hard feelings between them.
