Inter Miami want to sign former Liverpool star Daniel Sturridge
MLS sides Inter Miami and DC United are struggling to get former Liverpool star Daniel Sturridge on a free transfer, as the striker continues his search for a new club since leaving Trabzonspor in March 2020.
The 31-year-old has kept fit since he mutually terminated his contract in Turkey due to a four-month ban from the sport for breaking the betting rules, and he is attracting attention from a number of different teams.

And according to the Daily Mail, MLS sides Inter Miami and DC United are ready to go to war with all potentially interested Premier League clubs to land Sturridge on a free transfer.
The former England international is waiting to see if any English top flight clubs call his services ahead of the 2021/22 campaign, but he is also attracted by the idea of playing in the US, given the constant development of MLS.
Sturridge managed seven goals in 16 appearances during his time with Trabzonspor, which shows that he still has the ability to succeed at a good level, if he can avoid his persistent injuries.
Inter Miami franchisee David Beckham will be desperate to get this deal over the line, and the ambitious boss recently told ESPN that a city like Miami could attract some of football’s elite players, while dropping a trio of icons.

“When we announced Miami, there will always be talk of which players to bring in, whether it was Ronaldo, Messi, Neymar,” said Beckham.
“There will always be these discussions. I actually do not think it is difficult for players to decide, to be honest, because it is a great place.
“Of course it’s a great city, I feel we have a great fan base, but I also understand that there’s a lot of talent in Miami and South Florida, and I think we have a real opportunity. Miami is a city that has that attraction. on players who have played in Europe who are big stars. ”

While fans will continue to dream of moves for the likes of Lionel Messi, Cristiano Ronaldo and Neymar, they have instead been treated to the signings of ex-Premier League duo Ryan Shawcross and Kieran Gibbs.
Sturridge’s arrival would give the MLS team even more experience, as he could be asked to enter into a partnership with ex-Juventus star Gonzalo Higuain, while the relentless Blaise Matuidi does everything that runs behind them.
