Harry Kane sure on City move
Harry Kane is “increasingly confident” that he will secure a move to Manchester City this summer, despite Tottenham’s hierarchy remaining unshakable in the face of interest.
After failing to claim silver at Spurs once again in 2020/21, Kane has informed the club of his desire to move to new pastures.
Sergio Aguero’s move to Barcelona has left Pep Guardiola’s side in the forward division and their search for a replacement has led them to continue a move for three-time Golden Boot winner Kane.
England’s forward representatives are keen to push for a deal, but since 90 minutes recently revealed Daniel Levy has no intention of selling his valuable asset – an attitude that is not particularly surprising given that Kane still has three years left on his current deal. .
Despite Spurs’ reluctance to maintain offers, Kane remains optimistic about a move and The Times reports that the English striker is convinced that an agreement will be reached before the transfer window closes.
Tottenham boss Nuno Espirito Santo and general manager Fabio Paratici have both been extremely active in the late market – with a number of newcomers in the business – and Kane suspects that their desire to freshen up the team means they will be open to selling him in a try to generate additional funds.
A number of figures have been linked to Spurs’ ultimate valuation of Kane – most of which exceed £ 150 million – but the Daily Star reports that City are refusing to be held by the North London club and will not offer more than £ 120 million.
It is also said that City have already agreed on personal terms with Kane, which includes a £ 350,000-a-week contract, but getting Tottenham to sanction the move is still a major obstacle.
Given the huge gap between the parties’ current valuation of the striker, it is difficult to imagine that an agreement will be reached at any time soon, with ‘Kane to City’ which will be this summer’s tale.
