“Our priority is to win the Gold Cup. Every time we compete for a trophy, we want to win it, says Berhalter. “It will require a good effort from the group, but that is really our focus. We know that the games will be difficult, and when we looked at the list for this tournament, we focused on guys who are in shape and can help the team win. ”
According to Gold Cup rules, the final list must be submitted before midnight tonight. If Berhalter wants to replace a player due to an injury, he must do so up to 24 hours before the team’s first group game match and choose from the previously submitted 60-man preliminary list.
USMNT has won the Concacaf Gold Cup on six occasions, most recently in 2017. Prior to that, the United States won 1991, 2002, 2005, 2007 and 2013.
