Eduardo Camavinga rejects new Rennes contract
Rennes midfielder Eduardo Camavinga is ready to reject the club’s latest offer of a new contract, paving the way for an imminent exit from Roazhon Park.
The 18-year-old has been described as one of the most exciting young midfielders around, which Real Madrid, Manchester United and Chelsea often linked to moves for Camavinga.

If a suitor wants him, it may be time to move because The Athletic note Camavinga is ready to take a new contract and move on from Rennes, which may be forced to sell this summer before the deal expires in 2022.
Camavinga has already been a senior in France and has been frustrated with Rennes’ performances this season. They are currently seventh in Ligue 1 and face an uphill climb to qualify for the Europa League, let alone the Champions League.
Camavinga believes he is ready for regular football at a high level. His agent Jonathan Barnett recently insisted that the teenager was the best in his age group in the world and added: “Camavinga can play next year in the Premier League. He’s so good. I do not know if he wants to or not. “

Another concern for Camavinga is Rennes’ desire to introduce a high buyout clause in every new deal. He believes that such an agreement would limit his opportunities for the future and, as it seems, has no desire to agree to such terms.
It seems that Camavinga can go to the front door, but whether Rennes will take the chance to keep him for next season in the hope that he will eventually agree to new conditions remains to be seen.
There will probably be many offers on Rennes’ table this summer. Real and United have long been linked with Camavinga, while AS threw Chelsea’s name in the ring last month, and it could be even freer if Rennes agrees to sell at a discounted fee.

A fee of less than £ 40 million has been proposed, and even in a COVID-hit world, it feels like a bargain for a player who is widely regarded as one of the outstanding young talents in world football.
Everything can come down to where Camavinga sees its future. If his preferred suitor can not afford to sign him this summer, he can join next year to join them for free.
