Dulux embarrassingly conjures up Tottenham after being presented as ‘official paint supplier’

What’s worse than Tottenham announcing that they have a new “official paint supplier”?

The same provider who chooses to publicly conjure them just minutes after seeing the deal confirmed.

Spurs took to their website to unveil a partnership with Dulux, which has been given the much-needed honor of delivering all the paint that Spurs will use over the next few years, and they were probably really happy with the whole deal.

And then they checked social media …

A user joked that Dulux could provide the color for the cabinet, which has not seen a new trophy since the 2008 League Cup, and unbelievably Dulux agreed to the joke by posting an “ad” for an unused trophy cabinet with Spurs weapons on it … nice …

On top of silver graves, Dulux joked that they would have to wipe off all dust before painting the cabinet and even claimed that the famous Dulux dog would do a better job in midfield than Jose Mourinho’s current harvest of defenders.

Just because Mourinho likes to throw midfielders Davinson Sanchez, Eric Dier, Joe Rodon and Toby Alderweireld under the bus does not mean it’s okay. You know, unless that bus is a lovely shade of Duck Egg Blue.

What has come out of the world? If you can not trust your own official paint supplier, who can you trust?

The partnership with Dulux is designed to give Spurs an “competitive advantage”, with the right color scheme seen as the key to success in both football and interior design – two very similar areas.

The stadium may look nice, but was it all worth it in the Spurs ego?
