Dortmund transfer news: Potential summer goals
Borussia Dortmund’s ability to bounce back from the sale of its star players is well known.
The latest BVB star to fly from the conveyor belt is Jadon Sancho, with the forward sealed a long-awaited move of 73 million pounds to Manchester United recently.
He leaves Dortmund in his weakest position at a time, albeit with a potentially exciting future to look forward to under former Borussia Monchengladbach boss Marco Rose.
A complete rebuild will not be possible with the Sancho money, but it should enable BVB to address some of its shortcomings, as well as find the next big thing that they can resell to a European giant in a few years. Here are some of the players they should consider targeting …

There are obvious comparisons between Noni Madueke and Sancho.
Both left the Premier League clubs at an early age to help with their development abroad, both like to work in a right forward position and both have been tipped for superstar.
Since moving to PSV Eindhoven, Madueke has solidified his reputation as a top talent. He took things to a new level last season and recorded seven goals and six assists in just 24 Eredivisie matches.
Dortmund is the perfect place for the 19-year-old to take the next step in his career. Since he is English, he can also be sold for a delicious profit in the not so distant future.

At the moment, Dortmund seems to be pretty determined going forward. After all, they have one of the best strikers in the world in Erling Haaland. However, it is only a matter of time before Haaland leaves for bigger things.
It makes sense that they recruit his replacement sooner rather than later.
Donyell Malen may not be a similar switch, but he has the potential to be productive in the Bundesliga. A technically skilled operator who has a devastating pace, he would clean up against the league’s high defense.
Last season he managed 27 goals and 10 assists in all competitions and only 22 he had plenty of time to improve. His impressive performances at Euro 2020 have unfortunately increased his price tag, but Dortmund are known for negotiating a bargain.

Dortmund’s biggest problem last season was their leaky defense; they conceded 46 goals in the Bundesliga, worse than Wolfsburg, Bayer Leverkusen and even Union Berlin.
What they need is an injection of experience right into the heart of their backline. This is where Jerome Boateng can come in.
The German international is currently a free agent after he was not offered a new deal by Bayern Munich, despite missing just five Bundesliga matches last term.
Still fast enough at 32, it has previously been reported that Dortmund have no interest in Boateng. We think they should reconsider.

Eintracht Frankfurt were seriously unlucky not to manage a Champions League place last season.
Sometimes the football they played was sublime, with Andre Silva finally surpassing Haaland with 28 Bundesliga goals.
Dortmund could benefit from the Eagles’ failure to reach Europe’s top club competition by searching for some of their stars. Unfortunately, Silva has already been taken with RB Leipzig who recently secured their services.
Someone who is still available is Daichi Kamada. The attacking midfielder enjoyed a fantastic 2020/2021 campaign with 12 Bundesliga assists. He is also pushing like crazy and fits in well with the style that Rose will look to impose her accusations on next term.
