Tottenham Hotspur leads the race for Sampdoria starlet Mikkel Damsgaard, with a bid that the Dane will be coming soon.
Damsgaard was one of the outburst stars in Euro 2020 and held three goals when Denmark went all the way to the semi-finals of the competition and did some seriously impressive performances to get fans talking.

Links between Damsgaard and Spurs were actually present during Jose Mourinho’s time at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium, and according to La Repubblica (via Sport Witness), sports director Fabio Paratici is keen to resume this interest.
It is suggested that Paratici have been quite aggressive in registering their interest in Damsgaard, and Spurs are now considered to have forced themselves to the front of the gender for the 21-year-old’s signature.
Spurs are even said to be preparing a bid of around 25 million euros for the young winger, but that seems quite ambitious on Spurs’ part.
It is not mentioned how Sampdoria would respond to such an offer, but given the club’s president Massimo Ferrero valued him significantly higher than just a few weeks ago, you would guess that the offer will not go very far.
“I do not know how much he is worth right now because he is not for sale,” Ferrero told GR Parlamento (via Goal). “I hold him tight and we help him develop, because I want to make a healthy profit at the end of it.
“For me, he is worth somewhere between 30 million euros and 50 million euros. He has talent and he will go a long way.”

Paratici seem hell to sign some exciting winger this summer, having already hit a deal to land Sevilla star Bryan Gil for £ 21.6 million plus Erik Lamela.
There may well be an extra place in the squad for Damsgaard to fill, with Lucas Moura believed to be available for transfer if the right offer comes.
