Barcelona have confirmed the signing of Memphis Depay on a free transfer following the expiry of his contract in Lyon.
The 27-year-old’s contract with the French side ends at the end of June, which gives him the freedom to negotiate a move to another club. He has long been expected to go with compatriot Ronald Koeman at the Camp Nou, with the coach as a huge admirer of pacy going forward.

And Barça confirmed on Twitter on Saturday night that Memphis has now completed its move to Catalonia and put paper on paper in a two-year agreement with the Spanish giants.
“FC Barcelona and Memphis Depay have reached an agreement that the player will join the club when his contract with Olympique Lyonnais has expired,” it said in a statement.
“The player will sign a contract until the end of the 2022/23 season.”
