Arne Slot Appointed New Manager of Liverpool FC

Arne Slot confirmed he’ll be Liverpool’s next coach while Jurgen Klopp’s final Anfield game is Sunday against Wolves. Liverpool hasn’t officially named a replacement yet, but it’s expected to be Slot. Feyenoord coach Slot announced in a press conference that he’ll join Liverpool the following year. Liverpool is set to finish third in the Premier League this season and secured the EFL Cup with a win over Chelsea. Despite a strong push for the title, Manchester City and Arsenal pulled ahead. Liverpool’s hopes in the Europa League and FA Cup ended with losses to Atalanta and Manchester United in the quarter-finals. Feyenoord confirmed Slot’s departure with a video on X (formerly Twitter), bidding farewell to the “Arne Slot era.” Slot’s final Feyenoord game will be against local rivals Excelsior as they finish the season strong, winning five straight matches and going unbeaten in their last 19 games. The upcoming game will be Slot’s 150th in charge of Feyenoord, having won 97 of his 149 matches.
