Agent believes the deal can be done

Jack Grealish could leave Aston Villa after Euro 2020 because the player’s representatives believe they have permission to arrange a transfer, potentially worth £ 100 million to make the 25-year-old the most expensive English player in history.

Grealish has long been interested in the Premier League tops and Manchester City have emerged as the club most likely to make an offer as Pep Guardiola looks set to renew his title-winning squad after it emerged a number of players are unhappy with their role.

Grealish is one of the most creative and dynamic players in the Premier League and many England fans have complained that he will start matches at Euro 2020 and got his wish in the final group match against the Czech Republic earlier this week.

Athletic writes that Villa, despite having already completed a deal for Emi Buendia and are looking for another attacking player, want to keep Grealish. The club is even said to have told potential targets that the talisman would still be at Villa Park next season.

Although Manchester City’s interest in being described as “growing”, it means a confidence, whether justified or misplaced, that they will be able to retain him and strengthen themselves.

However, The Sun claims that Grealish’s representatives believe they have already secured an agreement with the club that he will be sold if the right offer comes in.

It is suggested that the player’s camps are satisfied that talks with Villa officials in recent weeks have provided a situation where they will be able to work with a transfer when Euro 2020 is over. City have delayed making any offer while the tournament has been going on, but that is expected to change in July when the focus is back on club football and preparations for the 2021/22 campaign.
