as reported from Libreville, Yves-Laurent Goma

Nicolas Nguema is in police custody for selling a ship seized by the judiciary. The ship belonged to the Santullo group, and this Italian company has a tough dispute with the Gabonese state. The businessman is said to have received a mandate from the company to sell the boat. His lawyer angels Kevin Nzigou participated in the sale. The military counterattack service informed the lawyer’s president that he would hear Nzigou.

His lawyer Me Jean Paul Moumbembe does not break: “I think they should not make that mistake. The lawyer can only be heard by the interrogation judge, by the senior investigator.”

Angels Kevin Nzigou and Nicolas Nguema founded the Party for Change (PLC), an opposition party. They are also members of the Call to Action movement demanding the declaration of vacancy in power in Gabon. after President Ali Bongo’s health problems.

Mr Nzigou considers the indictment to have political motives: “By asking Mr Nguema, in the custody of the police, what his relationship with Appel is to act, we consider that this detention is political and not ordinary detention.”

The prosecutor did not want to comment on this case.
