As the country marks the 50th anniversary of the Soweto student uprising, a team is leading the “1976 at 50” campaign, working in partnership with civil society, heritage institutions, government and community organisations. The campaign is positioned not only as a commemoration of the 1976 uprising, but also as a platform to confront the present-day challenges that young people continue to grapple with.
