Normal John Numbi is alleged to have fled the DRC

He quietly left the country in hopes of escaping justice, a source in Lubumbashi trusts. General John Numbi Banza Tambo has not been public for several days. Her last appearance was in a video on social media. The general taught one of his daughters about handling weapons.

Since then nothing. Georges Kapiamba from ACAJ says John Numbi has taken refuge in Zimbabwe. He says he has these revelations from an officer who is very close to that person. But in the presidency of the republic we are much more reluctant. “Our agents have not yet told us anything,” an intelligence official said.

Cited as a sponsor of the murders of Floribert Chebeya and Fidèle Bazana, the former police inspector has always claimed he is innocent. But the case has now been restarted with the arrest of Colonel Christian Kenga Kenga last year and in February by Jacques Mugabo, two refugees who were convicted in absentia in the Chebeya case as well as by testimony from two other police officers who acknowledged their participation in the operation on the evening of 1 June 2010.
