During a formal ceremony held in Mogadishu on Thursday, the officers, part of the 12th contingent of the Nigeria Formed Police Unit (NFPU-12), were decorated with prestigious African Union medals of honor. The event was led by ATMIS Police Commissioner, CP Hillary Sao Kanu.

“Your exemplary conduct during your year of service is truly commendable,” CP Kanu remarked. “You displayed exceptional commitment and professionalism, even in the face of adversity. Your courageous efforts have been pivotal in safeguarding the Somali populace while nurturing their aspirations for a tranquil, secure nation.”
