Will Martin Fayulu go to the consultations proposed by Félix Tshisekedi?

The consultations promised by President Tshisekedi are expected to begin on Monday. While he waited, the Congolese head of state was this Saturday night with his counterpart from Brazzaville, Denis Sassou-Nguesso, who is also consulting with the actors in the Congolese crisis. He received in particular the former presidential candidate Martin Fayulu, who has not yet spoken publicly on the initiative of the Congolese head of state. But this Saturday morning, several dozen of his followers gathered in front of his Faden House hotel in Kinshasa.

With our special correspondent in Kinshasa, Sonia Rolley

“Whether Fayulu goes to the consultations, yes or no? No!” Officially, the demonstration is spontaneous, but the entire Ecide staff, Martin Fayulu’s party, is there. On the activist side, we have slogans to pass on. “Lamuka is not for sale. Second point: no Lamuka-FCC and Cach coalition. Third point: proposal to end the crisis or nothing. Finally, Felix = Kabila, 1 + 1 = 1. We say no to Tshilombo’s call. ”

A frame of Ecide indicates the location. “We urge him to take a step towards President-elect Martin Fayulu, so we put the proposal to end the crisis on the table. This proposal to end the crisis that prioritises institutional reform outside the institutions. That is, we need to come together, the stakeholders, around the good offices of a neutral organization so that we find the solution to this crisis. ”

Martin Fayulu’s plan for crisis exit was presented just a year ago, it included an 18-month transition with Cach and the FCC at the helm of the country. According to this plan, The Lamuka opposition coalition was to lead a high national council for institutional reforms, which i.a. was responsible for electoral reforms.
