Deputy Speaker Thomas Fallah has publicly apologized to Speaker Richard Nagbe Koon and fellow members of the House of Representatives following controversial remarks made during a recent radio interview. Fallah’s statement, suggesting that Koon had not previously held leadership positions, sparked a strong backlash, leading some House members to call for an inquiry into his comments.
“I want to emphasize that my remarks on Spoon Talk regarding my friend, Speaker Richard Nagbe Koon, were intended in good faith, without any aim to mislead, malign, or undermine. Therefore, I am retracting those comments and extend my heartfelt apology,” Fallah stated.
