Belgium vs Italy: Combined XI

Belgium and Italy will face off in a heavyweight in the Euro 2020 quarter-finals on Friday night and eliminate one of the favorites while sending another to the final four.

It will certainly be a tough celebration, there will probably be tears and there will definitely be a whole lot of world-class players on the pitch.

It is a collision between two star-studded teams that not only hope for but expect to honor will come on July 11. And we, 90 minutes, but it would be fun to put together a lineup that combines both forces …

Here is a combined XI with players from Belgium and Italy.

Thibaut Courtois (GK) – After a fantastic 2020/21 season between the clubs for Real Madrid, Courtois has taken his good form in Euro 2020. He has been solid and composed and produced heroism at the death during his side’s 1-0 victory against Portugal last time.Giovanni Di Lorenzo (RB) – The Napoli man has filled in for Alessandro Florenzi since the opening day of this summer’s European Championships and has done so with good effect. A solid, athletic backback who rarely betrays his manager. Leonardo Bonucci (CB) – Really rose to the heart of Italy’s defense after Giorgio Chiellini’s injury in the group stage. A leader in himself and a sensational defender worthy of any combined XI.Toby Alderweireld (CB) – With so many center-backs likely to appear for both sides, it’s hard to pick two – but this man is the key to his side at the back. With his fantastic passing range and defensive sound, the coach has always trusted him and will earn his 113th cap on Friday.Leonardo Spinazzola (LB) – Has taken Euro 2020 by storm. Who knew that conventional left-backs could attack so outrageously? He has had his opposite amount of grief every time he has played so far and was assisted in Italy’s 2-1 overtime win over Austria last time. For a player with his right foot, he is a pretty ridiculous left back.

Jorginho (CM) – It says a lot about Jorginho’s quality that he has missed only 15 minutes of Euro 2020 action, despite Roberto Mancini’s preference for rotation throughout the tournament. His ability to control the pace of the game with his metronomic passing is fascinating, and it has made him an outstanding artist this summer.Youri Tielemans (CM) – A few years ago, it was doubtful whether Tielemans would ever live up to his potential. But last season he proved how sensational a football player he is. Calm, intelligence, versatile ability – he has everything in abundance.Marco Verratti (CM) – Verratti is simply a beautiful football player to watch. His ability to see the bigger picture, break through lines and dictate matches is why he has been so regular at the highest level for so long.

Federico Chiesa (RW) – Since Kevin De Bruyne’s inclusion is still a doubt for the game, we thought we would play it safe and go with Chiesa. His fantastic goal in the extension of Italy’s 16th victory against Austria will make him long in the memory of Azzurri fans.

Romelu Lukaku (ST) – What can be said about this man who has not already been said? He is undeniably one of the most intimidating goal scorers. Lukaku has already scored three at Euro 2020 and his international record is 63 in just 97 meetings – simply ridiculous.Lorenzo Insigne (LW) – He has so far played in three of the country’s matches in the tournament, done once and is in a position to find space and worrying goalkeepers with his fantastic brand rolls. Do not you just love an Insigne curler that lies inside that far corner?
