The Paris prosecutor’s workplace confirms that the opponent

An investigation was launched in France after the death of the main opponent of Denis Sassou-Nguesso, who was re-elected in the first ballot according to the preliminary results of the election commission. Guy-Brice Parfait Kolélas died on his arrival in France by medical plane on March 22, the day after the presidential election in Congo-Brazzaville. The opponent’s causes of death have raised questions in the country.

Directly after the declaration of the death of Guy-Brice Parfait Koléla in Paris, an investigation was launched to find the causes of the opponent’s death and entrusted to the criminal brigade. And in a press release on Wednesday, Bobigny’s prosecutors say “the various investigations carried out by the Paris Forensic Institute reveal that his lungs were badly damaged.”

The autopsy was performed the day after his death, ending with “respiratory failure consistent with the Congolese medical finding of Covid-19”. Its contamination with coronavirus has also been confirmed by “molecular virology”, the press release states.

The prosecutor recalls that the health of dual nationality politicians deteriorated at the level that brought him home to France. He died during the flight, in the presence of a doctor, his family doctor and his wife Nathalie Kolélas.
