The Movement for the Defense of Democracy (M2D) presented its memorandum on Wednesday, May 26, on the violent demonstrations in March last year.
This coalition of political parties and civil society associations supports Ousmane Sonko, the opponent accused of allegedly raping an employee of a massage parlor. This deal had led to riots that left 13 dead. After the government last month, M2D in turn reversed its version of events.
