“Usually we work more from 19.00, 20.00 and 21.00. This is where customers came most. But there we are forced to close from 18:00 because some of our employees live far from their workplace. So we have to release them ahead of time so they can go home. Honestly, the curfew at 8 pm on weekends does not suit us. If we used to earn 100,000 CFA francs, we now earn 40,000 CFA francs, “complains Samba Sy.
Nightclubs open illegally
The end of this year’s celebration is approaching. Samba Sy wonders if he will be able to find the necessity to grant benefits to the restaurant’s eight agents: “Usually we rewarded the employees during the month of December, just like their children for Christmas. Now it’s getting harder. ”
Rufin Mafouana is one of these agents. Father of four children, he is very worried: “The salary is almost threatened. We no longer receive the bonuses as before. We were even reduced to a minimum. This curfew really does not suit us. ”
