Tottenham transfer news: Offer accepted for Alderweireld
Toby Alderweireld’s lost departure from Tottenham is getting closer after the club accepted a £ 13 million offer from Al-Duhail in Qatar.

Although he has been a regular in the starting line-up for most of his Tottenham career, the 32-year-old is apparently relieved from his team’s first team plans.
He has since informed the club of his desire to move on this summer, and The Telegraph reports that he may be about to do so shortly after Spurs accepted a £ 13m bid from Al-Duhail.
Alderweireld has not yet discussed personal terms with his possible new club and the move will be subject to medical treatment – but all is well, his north London exit can well be confirmed in the coming days or weeks.
The news is just the latest example of a change of guard at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium, as new manager Nuno Espirito Santo and manager Fabio Paratici look set to freshen up their squad for the new season.
Spurs are perceived to be in talks with a number of potential newcomers – such as talks with Cristian Romero, Bryan Gil, Takehiro Tomiyasu and Pierluigi Gollini progress – while many exits are also expected to be confirmed during this transfer window.
Erik Lamela is approaching a move to Sevilla as part of the proposed Gil transfer and his exit will definitely not be the last this summer.
One man the club hopes to hold on to is Manchester City target Harry Kane – with 90 minutes recently revealed by Daniel Levy confident he will retain his star-studded services – while the latest news that Son Heung-min has written a new one the four-year contract will be a great relief for the club.
