Trent Alexander-Arnold continued his recovery from the injury that excludes him from Euro 2020, while the new signing Ibrahim Konate tasted his first move for Liverpool. Joel Matip, James Milner, Mohamed Salah, Sadio Mane and Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain were also among the first team players to play.
In the Red’s first match against Innsbruck, Divock placed Origi 1-0 from the penalty spot, only for Ronivaldo to level things up before the end. Meanwhile, Liverpool had to come from behind against Stuttgart with Philipp Forster’s goal to put the Bundesliga team ahead. Mane saved the red blushes and knocked home near the end to even things out.
