Real Madrid broadcasts news: no signings this summer

Real Madrid president Florentino Perez has decided not to make any signings this summer, opening the door to dramatic revivals for Eden Hazard and Gareth Bale at the Bernabeu.

As one of the richest clubs in world football and pioneers of the mega-money transfer, Real had been expected to push through the pandemic’s financial constraints and splash out on a signing or two in the coming months.

Erling Haaland, Paul Pogba Kylian Mbappe and all the common names had been linked, while reports in Spain recently suggested that the latter expect a new attitude from Madrid before the window closes.

Various new reports, which originate from Radio Marca, say, however, that Perez has told the rest of the board not to expect any new arrivals before the window closes on September 1.

If one is to believe Perez, it will be the second summer in a row where Los Blancos have not spent money on a player – something that is quite unknown since Luis Figo signed the first Galactico era back. year 2000.

This means that there may in fact be some truth behind Perez’s persistent blasting if the financial struggle the club is facing behind the scenes. But few will shed a tear for them, given the depth of the options that Carlo Ancelotti currently has available.

Only this summer, Real Gareth Bale, Martin Odegaard, Takefusa Kubo and Dani Ceballos have all returned from loans. Any of these four could be like a new signing for Ancelotti if used properly, with Odegaard in particular returning from a productive loan spell with Arsenal.

As for Bale, he is entering the final year of his contract at the Bernabeu, and the departure of Zinedine Zidane means one last chance when he returns from his post-season is not completely off the table.

There are also options within the squad from the last that can be motivated to take advantage of the lack of new faces. Eden Hazard, whose transfer to Real 2019 is fast starting to look like one of the worst transfers ever, returns from a decent show at Euro 2020 and he is determined to put his injury in hell behind him and rediscover the form that made him a Chelsea -legend.

There is also Isco, a favorite with Ancelotti from his first job, and Eder Militato, who may have lost his place in start XI, could Real go and spend another 60 million pounds on a midfielder.

News that no signatures are on the way can be a concern, but it can be a blessing for Real, who are instead forced to aim through what they have. If that’s not good news for them, at least it’s good news for the talented stack of players they’ve ended up with over the years.

As it now looks, they have the first 24 team players before you even consider those who are about to step up from the B-team and the academy. One would think that they would be fine.
